There are numerous adult ministry opportunities at Tyger River Presbyterian Church. Sunday morning adult Christian Education classes are offered each week, but there are also many other groups that meet regularly for adults across the life cycle. The below details share a little more about each of these gatherings, including contact information for those interested in learning more.

Christian Education

Multiple adult Christian Education classes meet every Sunday morning at 9:00am. These classes included Bible studies, as well as more thematic or book studies. The classes are open to everyone.

“Bring Your Own Bible and Beverage” (BYOBB) is a ladies group that meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm.

We gather at different locations that are announced prior to meetings.

Meetings include fellowship, light snacks, beverages and a topic for discussion.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

The Men’s Prayer Breakfast meets the first Friday of each month at 8:00AM.

Open to all men of Tyger River, the goal is to create an opportunity for the men of our church to fellowship with each other and to find ways to better serve our God and Tyger River Presbyterian Church.

There is normally a short message, followed by time for discussion.

There is also time for concerns and prayer requests. Location is communicated by email each month.

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an opportunity for all women of Tyger River to meet once a month for dinner and fellowship.

Presbyterian Women meet at 6:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

The location is determined on a

month-to-month basis, and

attendees are notified by email, in the bulletin, and in the Tyger Times.

The Choir

The Choir works diligently to present excellent music in worship so that listeners will see and feel the power and beauty of God through music.

The Choir meets Wednesdays

from 6:45-7:30pm.

The Praise Band

The Praise Band helps lead Worship every Sunday. The band singers and members are volunteers coming from a variety of musical backgrounds.

The Praise Band meets Wednesdays

from 6:00-6:45pm.

“What Would Jesus Brew” (WWJB) is held the third Tuesday of every month at

RJ Rockers Brewing Company.

We meet for “social hour” at 6:00pm featuring complimentary

hand-crafted beers and snacks.

At 7:00pm we have a one hour Bible-based discussion, led by the pastor or

a “guest moderator”.

The discussion might be based on a scripture of passage or simply a thought-provoking question.

No RSVP required, and

everyone is welcome!

Free Spirits

This is a group of older adults (50+) who get together at the church for a pot luck supper and fellowship.

The group meets periodically and coordinates upcoming events by email.
