Seeing in a New Light (sermon 3.3.19)

Have you ever had the opportunity to see someone in a new light?

In Matthew 17, we're told that Jesus and three of his disciples go up to the top of a mountain. On that mountain, the disciples get the opportunity to see Jesus in a new light. Scripture tells us that Jesus' face begins to shine like the sun and his clothes become dazzling white.

As we prepare for the Lenten Season, we too look for a Transfiguration moment, for the chance to see Christ in a new light. As a church, we'll be reading through Matthew's gospel together, with eyes and hearts ready to experience Christ in a new way.
